About the Role

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a highly skilled E-Commerce Operations Associate to join our team. As an E-Commerce Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the processing and shipping of sold merchandise, creating product listings, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Fulfillment: Address stock shipping, coordinate scheduling, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Inventory Management: Administer inventory procedures to track active listings and securely store pending items in designated areas.
  • Product Listings: Create and update product listings, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, and specifications.
  • Merchandise Selection: Select high-value merchandise located at the ARC Center for sale on the online platform.
  • Quality Control: Test items to confirm functionality or authenticity before posting, such as electronics and jewelry.
  • Visual Merchandising: Photograph and present merchandise in a visually appealing and informative manner.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer support via email, message, and phone, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Accuracy and Productivity: Ensure precision in both written and verbal tasks, meet daily posting quotas, and weekly and monthly sales targets determined by the Supervisor.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and high productivity through effective workload management, actively partner with the District Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and team members in the day-to-day operation of the ecommerce business.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills of the English language.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer and technology skills, with a focus on Windows Operating Systems (10 or higher) and all Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Online Selling Experience: Knowledge of online selling platforms and proficiency in Photoshop is preferred.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Pressure and Multitasking: Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Typing Speed: Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Customer Service Experience: Experience in identifying high-quality and designer brand merchandise and 2-4 years of customer service and/or retail experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Lifting and Moving: Ability to grasp, push, pull, and move heavy objects such as household and office furniture, packages, and all other bulk items.
  • Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive Motion: Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
  • Vision Requirements: Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision requirements due to extensive computer work.
