Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Management: Develop and implement short-term and long-term financial and operational plans to support the hotel's overall objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the hotel's performance through guest satisfaction systems and monthly financial reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Quality Standards: Maintain product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Sales and Marketing: Implement and maintain local and national sales/marketing programs to drive revenue growth and increase brand awareness.
- Human Resources: Establish and maintain a proactive human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training, and development, as well as compliance with labor regulations.
- Guest Service: Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Preventative Maintenance: Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the hotel's physical assets.
- Security: Maintain a security function to protect the hotel's assets and the personal safety of employees and guests.
- Communication: Implement/maintain two-way communication systems to reach all employees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Program Development: Develop new programs to increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence, driving business growth and profitability.
- Compliance: Manage in compliance with established company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Employee Recognition: Reward employees who meet or exceed guest expectations, promoting a positive and motivated work environment.
- Brand Standards: Ensure compliance with brand standards and certification requirements, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Community Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government, and community and civic organizations, ensuring good standing in the community.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hotel operations experience in a supervisory capacity, with 2 years of direct sales or retail trade experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive to customer appointments.
