Role Overview

Are you driven by a commitment to quality and safety in food production? E. & J. Gallo is looking for a Product Integrity Specialist who will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and food safety standards. This role involves establishing comprehensive quality and safety programs, ensuring that our facilities and processes align with documented standards and ISO regulations. You will provide essential support to various locations, including regional facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Innovate:
  • Develop and implement operational standards and procedures that comply with corporate policies on food safety and quality.
  • Oversee the creation of essential programs required for food safety certifications across all relevant facilities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for HACCP and food safety initiatives across the organization.
  • Design and implement validation and verification programs to ensure brand integrity and compliance with specifications.
Collaborate:
  • Provide expertise to Engineering, Beverage-making, Maintenance, and Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure adherence to sanitary design standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions with facilities and suppliers, developing gap plans and site-specific work instructions.
  • Communicate corporate performance standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in program metrics.
  • Enhance sanitation programs based on risk analysis and experimental design to address plant-specific issues.
Lead:
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to identify root causes and corrective actions for quality or food safety challenges, collaborating with the Product Incident Process for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Quality Standards and Master Sanitation Schedule expectations to support site management.
  • Provide governance for food safety systems and quality initiatives in the region.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Natural or Life Science discipline with 5 years of relevant experience in production, food/beverage, sanitation, engineering, product development, or quality assurance; or a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment or products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel for training, meetings, and development as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a Natural or Life Science with 4 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in interpreting technical specifications and managing sanitation and project management.
  • Knowledge of food thermal processing and relevant credentials.
  • Experience in aseptic packaging and food microbiology within a manufacturing context.
Compensation:
  • Salary range: $89,000 - $133,700 annually, determined by education, experience, and internal equity.
