Position Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage the collection and transportation of fryers to the processing facility, ensuring adherence to the production schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Oversee the collection and transportation processes for fryers.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to assign tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols in the workplace.
  • Make informed decisions regarding crew assignments.
  • Monitor operations at ranch locations to ensure efficiency.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues promptly.
  • Coordinate logistics with forepersons and plant staff.
  • Establish and uphold safety and production standards.
  • Facilitate safety training for team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments for effective planning and documentation.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field, or 4 to 7 years of supervisory experience in poultry operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic accounting principles and skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate team members fairly and possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Solid mathematical and mechanical understanding.
  • Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to following company policies, including biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
  • Must not have any personal birds at residence.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
