Job Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating new business and ensuring growth by efficiently managing existing accounts. This role assesses the potential application of company products and offers solutions that meet customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Find new opportunities to grow and expand business for companywide future growth.
  • Identify target customers and prepare sales strategy to achieve the sales target.
  • Collect market information and provide feedback to Sales Department Head and/or Sales Director to collaborate on sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly as GKAM/LKAM and customer contact, and provide detailed feedback into Nidec organization from customers.
  • Travel to manufacturing location globally with customers to support future launches and current production issues.
  • Lead all business activities and understand all customer requirements, including commercial, engineering, prototype, quality and production requirements.
Requirements:
  • Results-oriented, reliable and timely deliveries even under pressure.
  • High level of personal initiative regarding problem solutions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (frequent conference call outside the normal working hours).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Science in Engineering is preferred. Bachelor in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Automotive industry dealing with major OEMs or Tier1 suppliers as sales(Account Manager) or Sales Engineer Program Management experience is preferred (PMI certification is a plus).
