Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Supply Chain team. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. You will serve as a functional expert on all HR-related issues and act as an employee champion and change agent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR-related KPIs, including Supply Chain-related metrics, and be accountable for meeting objectives.
  • Develop and implement plans driving improvements in the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) with the Supply Chain Leadership team.
  • Administer Employee Engagement Surveys and work with employees and leaders in Supply Chain to develop and implement initiatives and action plans to drive an engaging workforce in Supply Chain.
  • Develop and implement plans to assure the Company remains union-free.
  • Partner with the Zone HR team in talent attraction and retention efforts for all Supply Chain exempt and non-exempt personnel and temporary staff; conduct new hire orientations and coordinate onboarding programs; and write and place job advertisements.
  • Advise and support the Supply Chain leadership team on developing career paths, technical development, and leadership development programs.
  • Identify training needs for local Supply Chain personnel and individual leader's coaching needs.
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, evaluating, and monitoring training programs to ensure success. Maintain Supply Chain training and qualification databases. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Advocate for Supply Chain within the Zone/Global HR function; understand, advocate for, and implement Zone/Global HR functional initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor compliance of policies that assure a safe, equitable, and compliant work environment.
  • Maintain Supply Chain organization charts and headcount reports.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention; provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with function heads to ensure proactive HR support is provided in a timely manner.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Report, maintain, and monitor all workers' compensation case files and leave of absence cases; follow through on all open claims and leaves.
  • Support time and attendance, payroll, and benefits administration for Supply Chain personnel.
  • Administer various human resources policies and procedures and assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Other duties or projects may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline from an accredited 4-year university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an exempt-level HR Business Partner in a supply chain, manufacturing, CPG, or distribution center/warehouse environment.
  • Proven successful records in driving cultural change in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
  • Certification in PHR or ability to obtain PHR certification within 1 year of employment is required.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including training and development, workers' compensation, leave of absence, recruitment, employment relations, and investigation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of HR legal compliance; maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Must have strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, fast learner, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a can-do and learning attitude.
  • Must be a collaborative, responsive, and proactive team player; strong ownership and high integrity.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information; attention to details is a must.
  • Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks, and handle multi-tasks in a fast work pace.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, including Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio; ADP, PeopleSoft, or other HRIS systems, including running ad hoc reports.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is required.
  • Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Chinese is a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
