About the Role

Pioneer Management Consulting is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to drive business results and growth in our Denver market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing a well-managed, profitable, and growing book of business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Pursuit: Collaborate with practice leaders to strategically pursue new opportunities on a diverse collection of targeted accounts through strong, strategic relationships and smart, measured prospecting.
  • Pipeline Creation: Work with new and existing clients to build a pipeline and secure new Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Revenue Growth: Responsible for achieving $2-4 million+ in annual revenue targets, quarterly sales targets, and MBOs.
  • Client Management: Responsible for a client or set of clients' pipeline creation and forecasting.
  • Prospecting: Ask the right questions during prospecting interactions to understand how Pioneer can best serve; start the problem-solving process; drive the right next steps with the right people at the table.
  • Solution Presentation: Present and articulate Pioneer's consulting solutions in a compelling manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor and collaborate with other sellers within and across Pioneer's markets.
  • Business Development Strategy: Inform the business development growth strategy in team selling, weekly business development meetings, and insight about tools and resources needed to effectively manage the sales lifecycle.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to refine sales approaches.
  • Initiative Development: Develop creative new business development initiatives to increase awareness of Pioneer to current and prospective clients.
  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in the community, professional networking organizations and business sponsored events to build the Pioneer brand and meet prospective clients; host or facilitate Pioneer client/marketing events.
  • CRM Utilization: Leverage Pioneer's CRM to drive a forecast and collaborate with account owners and practice leaders.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of B2B solution-based selling experience, preferably in the professional services industry.
  • Track Record: Track record of selling professional services and consistently surpassing sales targets and quotas in previous roles, showcasing a strong ability to drive revenue growth and exceed performance expectations.
  • Professional Network: Possesses an established professional network in the local Denver market.
  • Client Partnership: Able to partner with clients to understand their organizational needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and develop trusting relationships with C-suite business leaders, decision makers, and internal teams.
  • Teamwork: Able to work independently and as part of a team including, but not limited to educating, collaborating, pushing back on, and engaging in healthy debate - all for the betterment of our clients and team.
  • Communication Skills: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • CRM Proficiency: Demonstrates a high level of proficiency with CRM software.
  • Ambiguity Management: Able to handle ambiguity and manage many responsibilities at one time to effectively partner with the Pioneer team to drive revenue growth.
  • Location: Must be currently living in the Denver market and able to commute to clients across the Denver Metro Area.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
