About the Role

Aerotek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ramp Lead to join our team. As a Ramp Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of aircraft ground services, including fueling, maintenance, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel Aircraft: Operate fuel trucks and equipment to safely refuel aircraft according to company and safety protocols.
  • Aircraft Servicing: Perform routine services such as refilling oil, washing aircraft, and conducting pre-flight inspections.
  • Assist Maintenance Team: Support A&P mechanics in basic aircraft maintenance tasks, including tire changes and general upkeep of the shop.
  • Organize Maintenance Hangar: Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the maintenance hangar, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Leadership Opportunities: Take on leadership roles in keeping the shop tidy and efficient, with potential to grow into the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with Departments: Assist other airport and airline departments as needed, including ramp operations, baggage handling, and customer service.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely drive company vehicles, including fuel trucks and tugs, to perform various tasks around the ramp.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
Work Environment

Aerotek offers a laid-back environment where doing your job accurately and safely is most important. You will be working in a hangar with 50 planes on site, with a focus on working mainly outside.

Requirements
  • Jeans/work pants, closed-toed shoes, t-shirt/jacket, and beanies are okay during cold weather.
  • Shifts are 7:00AM to 3:30PM or 8:30 to 5:00PM, 5 days a week, with some weekend work required.
