Role Summary: Under the guidance of the Unit Director, the Senior Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting departmental functions, including planning, evaluating, and reporting on operations. This position involves collaboration with the Chief Facilities Engineer to oversee business activities, strategic planning, and program administration, serving as a key liaison to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in managing, planning, directing, and evaluating departmental operations.
- Oversee fiscal operations, delivering financial reports and recommending cost control measures.
- Supervise departmental staff, ensuring effective management and support.
- Contribute to the establishment of departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist in the development of strategic plans and integrated programs.
- Coordinate activities across departments to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Monitor compliance and internal controls, providing insights and reporting to management.
- Advise on the development and implementation of policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
- Participate in committees and user groups as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, such as Senior Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
- Experience in facilities management is essential.
- Prior experience in a college or university facility is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a customer-focused attitude.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Capability to maintain organization in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Thorough understanding of contract administration and office procedures.
- Strong business acumen.
