Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Operations Lead to join our team. As a key member of our finance organization, you will be responsible for leading a world-class accounting and finance operations team, driving process improvements, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting and Financial Operations: Lead the accounting and finance operations team, including the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Design and implement scalable accounting processes and controls to support the growth of our business.
  • Team Management: Hire and manage a team of accounting and finance professionals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to support the automation of accounting processes and the development of internal tools.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and drive the annual audit process, including coordination of key timelines, deliverables, and final reporting packages.
  • Technical Accounting: Own technical accounting analysis, including the preparation of accounting memos and assessment of complex accounting processes.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant public accounting and/or private industry experience.
  • CPA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the monthly close process and exposure to accounting systems and understands how to drive automation and efficiency in these processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and cares deeply about getting things right.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing cross-functional initiatives, partnering effectively with technical teams.
  • Fluency with U.S. GAAP and the ability to prepare relevant technical accounting memos.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with internal controls.
  • Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SQL experience.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the banking and payments industry.
