Job Purpose:

To enhance and uphold our esteemed Red Wing brand image through professional selling, fostering loyalty, and cultivating long-lasting relationships with our customers.

This is accomplished by promoting the Red Wing Shoe Company's Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), marketing our premium products, and delivering attentive customer service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance schedules for the mobile unit through an approved maintenance facility.
  • Maintain daily logbooks, travel tracking, and mobile unit inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation and Red Wing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Prepare, load, and unload stock for the mobile unit and warehouse operations.
  • Maintain proficiency with product knowledge, technical, and operational standards through continuous learning.
  • Adhere to all mobile operations as defined in each SOP.
  • Manage mobile operating expenses including inventory, cash, truck maintenance, and travel, ensuring profitability of the mobile unit.
  • Guide customers through RWSC's Ultimate Fit Experience.
  • Provide accessory recommendations and educate customers on the benefits of each.
  • Ensure proper handling of special orders placed during the day's truck run.
  • Collaborate with the industrial team regarding planning and execution of the day's truck runs.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as required.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and legal regulations.

  • Maintain the integrity of the Mobile Shoe Showroom, truck signage, and housekeeping standards.
  • Identify current and future account requirements by establishing personal rapport with key contacts while onsite.
  • Ensure product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent work experience required), and one to three years of relevant experience/training.

Required Competencies:
Enthusiasm and motivation to provide the highest level of customer service, strategic thinking, planning, problem-solving, team collaboration, effective written and verbal communication, and computer proficiency.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in footwear sales from a mobile unit, retail footwear and/or wholesale experience, curiosity, passion for new ideas, and a drive for growth.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License required. Ability to pass and stay compliant with DOT requirements, which includes a DOT physical and drug screen, and you must be 21 years old.


Physical Demands:

Lifting 50 pounds, bending/squatting to lace shoes, overhead lifting, twisting, climbing a ladder, standing for long periods of time. Housekeeping duties including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping & waxing floors, washing windows, use of disinfectant chemicals, discarding of all trash, maintaining recycling, installing, and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.


Work Environment:

Driving or selling shoes from the truck, warehouse and Mobile Shoe Truck, retail store, outside, with some overnight travel and extended travel time.
