Position Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Enhance and uphold our esteemed Red Wing brand image through professional sales techniques, fostering loyalty, and building enduring relationships with our clientele. This is accomplished by advocating for the Red Wing Shoe Company's Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), marketing our premium offerings, and delivering attentive customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct routine maintenance schedules for the mobile unit through an authorized maintenance facility.
  • Maintain daily logbooks, travel tracking, and mobile unit inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation and Red Wing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Prepare, load, and unload inventory for the mobile unit and warehouse operations for the day.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge, technical skills, and operational standards through ongoing learning.
  • Comply with all mobile operations as specified in each SOP.
  • Manage mobile operating expenses including inventory, cash, truck maintenance, travel, and other areas impacting the mobile unit's profitability.
  • Guide customers through RWSC's Ultimate Fit Experience.
  • Recommend appropriate accessories and educate customers on their benefits.
  • Ensure proper handling of special orders placed during the mobile unit's operations.
  • Collaborate with the industrial team for effective planning and execution of daily mobile unit operations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Willingness to undertake additional tasks as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational standards and legal regulations.
  • Uphold the core values of Red Wing Shoe Company.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Mobile Shoe Showroom, truck signage, and cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with RWSC policies.
  • Identify current and future account needs by establishing rapport with key contacts while onsite.
  • Safeguard product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent work experience required), with one to three years of relevant experience/training.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in footwear sales from a mobile unit.
  • Background in retail footwear and/or wholesale operations.
  • Curiosity and passion for innovative ideas, with a focus on driving growth.
  • Performance-driven mindset.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to pass and maintain compliance with DOT requirements, including a DOT physical and drug screening; candidates must be at least 21 years old.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend/squat to lace shoes, perform overhead lifting, twist, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Housekeeping duties including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping & waxing floors, washing windows, using disinfectant chemicals, discarding trash, maintaining recycling, and installing and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Mobile sales from the truck.
  • Warehouse and Mobile Shoe Truck.
  • Retail store.
  • Outdoor settings.
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Extended travel time may be necessary.
