Role Overview:

The Sales Account Manager focusing on Count, Class, and Speed will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance within a specified territory. This position requires cultivating and maintaining relationships with essential stakeholders to build a strong sales pipeline and meet established sales targets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales objectives through strategic account management and relationship development.
  • Enhance revenue from current accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Formulate strategies for account engagement and sales initiatives, including accurate forecasting and rapid growth tactics.
  • Work collaboratively with the proposal team to respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key governmental influencers.
  • Deliver presentations on our product offerings and share market insights with internal teams.
  • Accurately document sales activities in the CRM system and provide regular sales forecasts.
  • Remain updated on competitive landscape, market trends, and regional developments.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, customer-oriented professional with a strong interest in transportation technology. Essential qualifications include a solid business understanding, experience in technical sales, and familiarity with the transportation sector. The candidate should also demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, effective presentation capabilities, and a proactive mindset towards generating new business.

  • A Bachelor's degree and over 8 years of sales experience are preferred, along with knowledge of state Department of Transportation (DOT) operations and contract negotiation expertise.
  • Proficiency in prospecting, engaging with senior executives, and managing the sales process is crucial.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and travel skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • The position demands independence and adaptability in a changing market environment.
  • Preferred geographical focus includes the US Mid Atlantic to Northeast region or the PacWest region (excluding California).
