Front Desk Clerk Job Description

The Hilton Madison Monona Terrace is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Front Desk team as a Front Desk Clerk. This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Welcome and register guests, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of their stay.
  • Communication: Provide clear and concise information to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Room Assignment: Make informed decisions regarding room assignments, taking into account guest preferences and hotel availability.
  • Conflict Resolution: Remain calm and composed when dealing with difficult situations, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately input and retrieve information from computer systems, maintaining accurate records and performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and move throughout the front office, continuously performing essential job functions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective reading, listening, and communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Visual and Hearing Abilities: Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations, with good hearing and visual abilities.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
