Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coordinator to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing research studies in patients with acute respiratory failure and sepsis conducted at the Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, coordinate, and manage research studies in patients with acute respiratory failure and sepsis
  • Oversee the financial and protocol development for assigned studies
  • Assist with managing the recruitment process, including developing advertising strategies and negotiating rates with media outlets
  • Perform intra-operative monitoring and serve as liaison with internal and external funding agencies
  • Ensure accurate execution of research protocols in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and required obligations to patient/subject, Principal Investigator, research team, and sponsor
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, healthcare administration, or related discipline
  • Licensed and registered to practice Respiratory Therapy in New York State
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies, plus two years of experience in respiratory therapy
  • Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effective oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
