Your Role
As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate with business partners, software engineers, and quality assurance testers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain intricate software applications, tools, and systems.

Influence and Strategy
You will play a crucial role in shaping our overall strategy by defining product features, driving system architecture, and promoting best practices that ensure a high-quality product.

This position offers you the opportunity to explore a variety of cutting-edge technologies and development methodologies while honing essential skills such as leadership and effective project management. Additionally, you will have the chance to mentor junior software engineers.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
1. Design, develop, implement, test, and document distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
2. Transform functional requirements into robust, efficient, and maintainable solutions that integrate seamlessly within the overall system architecture.
3. Collaborate with internal and external partners to assess and make informed decisions regarding the adoption of new or existing software products and tools.
4. Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

About Our Team
The FireTV 3P engineering team is tasked with delivering captivating FireTV experiences to third-party devices. This is your chance to design, develop, and own software that transforms the TV viewing experience, impacting billions of viewers and devices.

Future Opportunities
We are establishing a greenfield engineering team focused on developing tools and technologies that will revolutionize how third-party partners build their TVs within the FireTV ecosystem. With an exciting roadmap and upcoming launches, the FireTV 3P engineering team will independently manage, deliver, and support the complete product journey for our partners.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Proficiency in at least one programming language

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Android development
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by factors such as market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a comprehensive compensation package, alongside a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
