Your Role:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, partner engineers, and quality assurance teams to:

  • Design and Develop: Create, implement, and maintain sophisticated software applications, tools, and systems.

  • Translate Requirements: Convert business needs into robust and efficient technical solutions that integrate seamlessly within our architecture.
  • Collaborate: Work with internal and external partners to assess and decide on the adoption of new or existing software products and tools.
  • Mentor: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.

About Our Team:

The FireTV engineering team is dedicated to delivering captivating FireTV experiences across third-party devices. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of software that transforms the TV viewing experience for millions of users.

We are establishing a new engineering team focused on creating tools and technologies that will revolutionize how third-party partners build their TVs within the FireTV ecosystem. With a promising roadmap ahead, our team will independently manage the complete product journey for our partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of systems.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
  • Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) products and a solid understanding of the Android framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
