Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop innovative features from inception to deployment
  • Create scalable solutions with a strong emphasis on user and product requirements
  • Collaborate with the CTO and executive team to establish product specifications
  • Oversee the streaming division in all facets of embedded system development
  • Perform code evaluations, troubleshooting, and implement necessary fixes
  • Experiment with new development platforms and enhance the existing codebase to facilitate over-the-air updates
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams under tight deadlines to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Enhance and evolve our video processing framework on our IoT platform
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise software solutions from start to finish
  • Strong background in video streaming product development is highly desirable
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Go, Rust, and/or C/C++, with a focus on multithreaded programming and synchronization techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of GStreamer or FFmpeg and streaming protocols like HLS, DASH, WebRTC, RTSP, and various codecs (h.264, h.265, vp8, vp9, etc.)
  • Familiarity with audio, visual, and captioning standards (e.g., AVC, HEVC, AAC) and relevant media file formats (e.g., ISO base media file format, CMAF, fMP4)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 3-5 years of pertinent experience
  • Recognized contributions to industry standards and forums (W3C/HTML5, etc.)
  • Experience with MSE and EME technology stacks for web-based video delivery
  • Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of effective collaboration within large, diverse teams
  • Knowledge of Linux servers, device drivers, kernel modifications, and secure operating systems
  • Enthusiastic about video security and innovative video solutions, with aspirations to advance into principal architect or VP of engineering roles
