Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Management Specialist I to provide non-clinical support to our Medical Management and/or Operations areas. This role is responsible for gathering clinical information, determining appropriate areas to refer or assign cases, and providing information regarding network providers or general program information when requested.

Key Responsibilities

Gather clinical information regarding cases and determine appropriate areas to refer or assign cases
Provide information regarding network providers or general program information when requested
Assist with complex cases
Act as liaison between Medical Management and/or Operations and internal departments
Maintain and update tracking databases
Prepare reports and documents all actions

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year experience
Understanding of managed care and/or Medicaid/Medicare is strongly preferred
Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a huge plus
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a remote environment

Hybrid Workforce Strategy

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
