Developmental Concepts, Inc. is seeking dedicated Behavioral Intervention Specialists to provide vital support to children with medical and behavioral needs in community and school settings.

As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in empowering these children by fostering their development and addressing challenging behaviors. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving the lives of individuals within our care.

  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each child's unique needs, focusing on adaptive skill-building and behavior management techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with families, physicians, educators, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain meticulous records of progress, interventions implemented, and data collected to effectively monitor each child's development and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay abreast of current best practices and research in behavioral intervention for children with developmental disabilities.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures set forth by Developmental Concepts, Inc. and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field (e.g., health care, social services, education, behavioral science, or counseling) from an accredited institution.
  • One year of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities, gained through employment, practicum, or internship.
  • Completion of a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Course provided by Developmental Concepts, Inc., or possession of a current Habilitative Intervention (HI) Certificate.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history background check.
  • CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and car insurance.
