About the Role

Developmental Concepts, Inc. is a leading provider of in-home, community, and center-based services for adults and children with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist will work closely with our team to provide individualized support and interventions to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of individuals' health and medical needs, as well as their service plans.
  • Develop and implement adaptive skills and interventions to meet the needs of participants, addressing maladaptive behaviors as needed.
  • Collaborate with participants' families, physicians, and other officials to ensure effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Review and verify weekly paperwork for assigned caseloads, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and document service requirements daily, evaluating progress and implementing new interventions as necessary.
  • Understand and implement rules set forth by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
  • Complete annual training requirements, as determined by DCI's Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must take a 40-hour RBT course provided by DCI upon employment.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a human services field or within 24 units of graduating with a relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
  • Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance.
