Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations within the construction sector. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial management processes, including comprehensive corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Accounting Manager, your duties will include:

  • Managing general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and tax compliance.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to guarantee accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconciling various accounts including bank statements, payroll, vendor accounts, and treasury accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies promptly.
  • Working with auditing services to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial controls and guidelines.
  • Analyzing financial data and preparing monthly reports to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other financial activities.
  • Assisting in budget development and corporate financial planning.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with experience in software system implementation.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and guiding a team.
