Job Overview

Position Summary:

As a Culinary Team Member at Ripken Baseball, you will play a vital role in our Concessions team, working under the guidance of the Concessions Manager. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks including sanitation, inventory management, and the efficient preparation of food items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently prepare food orders in a high-paced environment.
  • Organize food preparation areas to ensure quick and effective service.
  • Prepare menu items to meet both business and quality standards, as well as customer expectations.
  • Receive and properly store all food and beverage supplies following the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
  • Conduct daily and monthly inventory checks of food and beverage items, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Monitor food quality to guarantee compliance with company standards.
  • Adhere to regulations set by the Department of Labor, DHEC, and OSHA.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including walk-in coolers.
  • Keep track of stock levels and communicate restocking needs to the Manager promptly.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as determined by management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to move quickly to assist customers as needed.
  • Capable of reaching for items at various heights, handling objects, and performing physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels is expected.
