Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join our team at TEEMA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials to ensure quality and safety on job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Use nuclear density gauges and other methods for compaction testing and sampling.
  • Conduct quality control tests on concrete, grout, and masonry.
  • Document findings and ensure construction materials meet required standards.
  • Travel to job sites in the area using a company-provided vehicle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
  • One or more ICC Special Inspector certifications (Reinforced Concrete, Soil, Masonry, Asphalt, etc.).
  • TDOT certifications and NICET Level II or higher in testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils) are a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.

Working Conditions

  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Long-term standing and repetitive movements.
  • Expect a mix of 50% field work and 50% office work.
  • Ability to use all senses (vision, hearing, touch) is important.
  • Some weekend, overtime, and overnight work/travel may be required.
