As a key member of the IT Support team at Expedite Technology Solutions LLC, the IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the IT Service Desk operations. This position requires a proactive approach to delivering high-quality IT services and ensuring effective communication with staff members.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional IT support by engaging positively with staff, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Utilizing the JIRA ticketing system to manage user incident reports and requests.
  • Provisioning new hire accounts and creating documentation through Active Directory.
  • Installing essential software for new users on their devices as required.
  • Onboarding new employees post-orientation, managing sign-ins, and setting up Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Windows 10 laptops and desktops, as well as basic hardware and network problems.
  • Installing approved software on Windows 10 devices based on role requirements.
  • Assessing hardware needs and submitting purchase requisitions for necessary replacements.
  • Replacing defective hardware on Windows/PC devices and ensuring component functionality.
  • Requesting access modifications to specific systems from relevant departments.
  • Participating in ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, IT systems, and processes.
  • Contributing to the development of new systems and networks.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support or service role.
  • Proficient in supporting users of Windows desktop operating systems, Outlook, Active Directory, and related peripherals.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud services.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Knowledge of modern web-based applications, including hosting and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and networking technologies such as IPSEC and SSL VPNs.
  • Experience in a Hybrid Cloud environment, including Azure and AWS.
  • Basic knowledge of service delivery frameworks like ITIL.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Linux desktop and server support.
  • Background in high-tech industries, particularly in supporting hardware/software engineers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven multitasking abilities and effective time management skills.
