Job Overview

Location: Torrance

Position Summary: This role is essential for fostering positive interactions with clients' representatives, ensuring that their needs are addressed in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updates customer records by maintaining accurate account information.
  • Processes customer orders within the accounting system and manages order tracking spreadsheets.
  • Confirms pricing for all incoming purchase orders.
  • Checks inventory levels against purchase orders.
  • Assesses the production schedule to confirm order fulfillment capabilities.
  • Reviews and processes purchase and sales orders.
  • Communicates order confirmations with brokers and clients through various channels.
  • Maintains correspondence with clients regarding order statuses via phone, email, and written communication.
  • Coordinates internally regarding customer orders and shipping timelines.
  • Handles Sample Requests, including inter-departmental communication, shipment preparation, and scheduling.
  • Assists Quality Assurance in resolving claims or customer issues and communicates outcomes as necessary.
  • Oversees customer accounts, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively, including account status and product deliveries.
  • Maintains a professional rapport with the broker network and provides assistance as required.
  • Organizes broker network documentation.
  • Supports the Transportation Scheduler when necessary.
  • Trains and assists new customer service representatives as needed.
  • Collaborates closely with the sales team to provide support as required.
  • Engages with the Accounting department to address Accounts Receivable concerns. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Food Safety Duties:

  • All team members must promptly report and assist in the resolution of any observed food safety concerns to their supervisor.
  • Adheres to, monitors, and enforces all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and prerequisite programs.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate's degree or higher, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in administrative roles, Sales, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and/or Logistics, ideally within a food manufacturing context.
  • Language Requirement: Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Physical Requirement: Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour, based on experience and education.

Reporting To: Upper Management

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
