Department: Horizon West Critical Care Unit
Status: Variable Full-Time (Three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends)
Shift: Days (7am - 7pm)
Role Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Advanced Care | ICU | Critical Care Unit at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital, you will be part of a 120-bed acute-care facility located in the Horizon West community. This hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including specialized heart care, emergency services, outpatient imaging, and surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Utilize critical knowledge and skills to provide care for patients requiring complex assessments and high-intensity interventions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment while interpreting vital electronic displays.
- Respond to life-threatening situations in accordance with established nursing protocols.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective management of patient care.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
As a Registered Nurse, you will also serve as a mentor and educator, fostering a supportive environment for both patients and colleagues. Your role will involve prioritizing patient care in alignment with Evidence-Based Practice Standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
- Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Hold a current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintain current BLS certification, with ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC required for specific areas.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of ICU/CCU experience within the last 3 years.
