Role Summary
As a Registered Nurse in our Transitional Care Unit, you will provide patient-centered care in a setting where individuals receive treatment and typically return home the same day.


Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your nursing expertise to promote wellness, restore health, and support patients through various stages of care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care, considering the developmental stages of each patient.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and document patient care effectively, ensuring all actions align with best practices in nursing.
  • Exhibit proficiency in nursing skills and the use of medical equipment specific to the unit.
  • Prioritize patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Engage in problem-solving and effective communication with the healthcare team regarding patient conditions.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and their families.
  • Integrate education for patients and families throughout the care process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Adhere to legal standards and patient rights, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold attendance standards consistent with organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; additional certifications may be required based on unit needs.
