Status: Variable Full-Time (Three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends)

Role Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Advanced Care | ICU | Critical Care Unit at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital, you will be part of a 120-bed acute-care facility located in the Horizon West community. This hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including cardiac care with full diagnostic capabilities, emergency services, outpatient imaging, and various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:As a critical care nurse, you will:
- Exhibit advanced knowledge and skills to care for patients requiring complex assessments and high-intensity interventions.
- Utilize assessment data to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays and responding to life-threatening situations according to established protocols.
- Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses, while evaluating progress toward expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to effectively manage unit operations.
- Document patient care accurately, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Hold a current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications may be required for specific areas.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of ICU/CCU experience within the last 3 years.
