Role:

As a Registered Nurse in the Advanced Care | ICU | Critical Care Unit at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital, you will be part of a dedicated team in a 120-bed acute-care facility located in the Horizon West community. This hospital provides a comprehensive range of services, including specialized heart care, emergency services, outpatient imaging, and various surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate advanced nursing knowledge and skills to care for patients requiring complex assessments and therapies.
  • Utilize assessment data to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays and vital signs.
  • Respond to life-threatening situations according to established nursing protocols.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, evaluating progress toward expected outcomes.
  • Foster respectful relationships with patients, families, and team members, acting as an advocate for patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to manage unit operations effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for specific areas.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of ICU/CCU experience within the last 3 years.
