Position Summary:We are thrilled to announce an opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist within our expanding team. In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of Collections & Disputes. Your primary responsibility will be to collect outstanding revenues from business clients. Additionally, you will assist with basic billing inquiries and disputes arising from customer feedback regarding their invoices. Providing exceptional customer service and timely responses to customer concerns to facilitate prompt payments will be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities:- Handle incoming calls from Brightspeed business clients regarding collections, payment arrangements, and straightforward billing inquiries.
- Achieve monthly collection targets consistently.
- Manage and collect overdue accounts for medium to large business clients.
- Utilize multiple computer systems concurrently.
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships while effectively resolving issues.
- Prepare monthly collection reports and provide recommendations on credit memos and write-off activities.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, billing operations, and accounts receivable teams to reconcile accounts.
- Review and understand contractual agreements with clients that dictate the service relationship.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B collections.
- Proven ability to navigate objections and propose solutions to overcome challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating effectively both verbally and in writing with appropriate detail and discretion at all organizational levels, including senior management.
- Strong relationship-building and listening abilities.
- Exhibits professionalism, sound judgment, and leadership presence: remains objective and free from undue influence; builds trust; is collaborative, insightful, proactive, and forward-thinking.
- Highly organized, ensuring timely delivery of all responsibilities with outstanding results while anticipating potential workload issues.
- Demonstrates integrity and upholds the highest ethical standards in all endeavors.
- Ability to learn complex systems quickly and effectively communicate that knowledge to others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector.
