Senior Business Development Manager

About the Role:
The Assistant Vice President, Priority Business Growth and Acquisition will play a critical role in executing the company's priority business growth strategy. This includes identifying and partnering with technology providers, general agents, and other stakeholders to drive growth and efficiency in the Priority Business segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Priority Business segment, including identifying and partnering with key technology providers and general agents.
- Work closely with Group Benefits leaders and functional partners to deliver a transformational underwriting and presale framework and an enhanced sales and onboarding experience for Priority Business customers and sales, broker, and GA partners.
- Lead a team and partner with technology, regional sales, and underwriting leaders to ensure strong market alignment and consistent messaging to producers and distribution partners.
- Identify, address, and explore acquisition opportunities, including quoting and enrollment partner technology and general agents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, general agents, and technology providers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant commercial business experience, with at least 2 years of experience in digital platforms and/or transformation in a large corporate setting.
- Experience in Group Benefits insurance strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship skills.
- Experience with presenting and public speaking required.
- Superior understanding of business vision and strategy, with experience using data analysis to inform value-added recommendations.
- Strong business acumen and financial savvy, with experience managing financials and/or a budget preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with managerial accountabilities in a large corporate setting required.
- Technology savvy, with experience with BEAM or a similar platform desirable.
What We Offer:
The Hartford offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $169,360 - $254,040, as well as opportunities for short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
