Job Title: Senior Director, Employee Relations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Director, Employee Relations to lead and manage the employee relations function within our organization. This role will oversee the resolution of workplace conflicts, manage employee grievances, and support organizational change initiatives. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies that promote positive employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the employee relations strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management on employee relations issues.
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of employee grievances and workplace conflicts.
  • Design and update employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge workplace climate and address concerns.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on handling employee relations issues.
  • Ensure continuous professional development for the employee relations team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; JD/law degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in employee relations, investigations, human resources, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement employee relations strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
