Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Role Requirements:
We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our Surgical/Tele unit, working the Day Shift in a full-time capacity.
The Medical/Surgical Unit comprises 18 beds, dedicated to providing high-quality, individualized care for patients undergoing various general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac surgeries. The unit also accommodates a general medical population, addressing needs in respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, and wound care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate assigned patients, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Conduct various patient tests and administer medications in accordance with nursing practice standards.
- Encourage patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Utilize experience and judgment to execute a variety of tasks and achieve care objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas or a compact state upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit is preferred.
- Experience in orthopedics is highly desirable.
- Telemetry experience is preferred.
