With the increasing elderly population and rising rates of chronic conditions, the need for specialized care in wound management is on the rise.
In your role as a Registered Nurse (RN), you will work under the guidance of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering patient care, overseeing the intake and discharge processes for patients at the Wound Care Center, and potentially taking on the role of Case Manager for a specific group of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering comprehensive patient care and managing the intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients.
- Assisting in the vein clinic following the completion of Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- Acting as a Case Manager for designated patients.
Additional responsibilities will include conducting nursing assessments, liaising with physicians, documenting care plans, providing patient education, and more. You may also be involved in hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and serving as a Documentation Assistant, among other tasks.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Experience in Medical-Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care settings.
- Prior wound care experience is advantageous.
Required Skills:
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation, along with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Demands:
- Engagement in various physical activities such as bending, writing, and lifting.
- Capacity to maintain focus during extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Typical office and patient care settings.
