Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Unit Details:

We are currently in search of a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to be part of our Surgical/Tele unit during the Day Shift in a full-time capacity. Our Medical/Surgical Unit consists of 18 beds, dedicated to providing personalized and direct care for patients undergoing various general and specialized surgical procedures, such as orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac surgeries. The unit also caters to a general medical population that includes respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, and wound care patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess assigned patients and develop, implement, and document nursing care plans.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Conduct various patient tests and administer medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
  • Encourage patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Utilize experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and achieve objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Current Texas RN license or a compact state license required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit is preferred.
  • Experience in orthopedics is highly desirable.
  • Telemetry experience is preferred.
