Department Operations Manager, Georgetown University

Job Summary
The Program Administrator will provide administrative and budget management support for the Computer Science Department within the College of Arts & Sciences and the Massive Data Institute in the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Support
- Schedule and organize internal and external meetings, events, and conferences, including logistics and communications.
- Manage vendor identification and coordination for events and projects.
- Ensure events address accessibility and coordinate with University offices.
- Program and Project Management
- Provide program and administrative support for projects in the Department and Institute.
- Coordinate meetings, logistics, and documentation for projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks and improve operations.
- Operations
- Support the Department Chair and MDI Director.
- Collaborate with Department administrator and Institute Central Office.
- Provide general operational and administrative support to faculty and students.
- Office Operations
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and keep shared office spaces clean and organized.
- Re-order equipment and supplies as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for technical office issues.
- Request Triage and Routing
- Review and route inbound requests to the MDI inbox.
- Develop business rules for request routing.
- Develop templated responses to common requests.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated skill in administrative management and operations.
- Minimum of 3+ years' progressive work experience in administration, program management, financial operations, and scheduling.
- Understanding and knowledge of current software and financial management tools.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and Excel, and Google Enterprise tools.
- Ability to learn quickly and work well on a team.
- Comfort with multitasking and prioritizing work.
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism and discretion.
