Position Overview


The Hoya Fellow will report to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, receiving additional guidance from the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Health.

This role includes supervising the Administrative Assistant within the Division of Student Affairs, along with both graduate and undergraduate student staff.

Alongside a year-long placement in a specific department of the Division of Student Affairs, each Fellow will have the chance to engage with key university administrators and faculty, gain insights into various administrative functions, and participate in leadership luncheons and enrichment activities with prominent figures in the Georgetown University and higher education sectors.

Hoya Fellows are appointed for a full-time, one-year term within the Division of Student Affairs under the mentorship of a senior administrator. Positions focus on either student engagement or student resources.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, planning, and executing programs
  • Engaging with students and promoting outreach
  • Developing and implementing social media and communication strategies
  • Providing administrative and organizational support
  • Conducting data collection, analysis, and assessment
  • Collaborating on university events with various departments
  • Implementing health and wellness initiatives and educational programs
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Georgetown University undergraduate student culture and community to devise effective engagement strategies.

Work Designation

This role is classified as On-Campus. Note that work designations are regularly evaluated to adapt to the university's evolving needs, which may result in changes to the work mode designation.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is approximately $31.30 per hour.


Compensation is influenced by various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the university's operational requirements and external considerations.
