Key Responsibilities- Provide warm and welcoming greetings to patients and visitors, directing them to their appropriate destination.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complete patient registration, intake, and eligibility checks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collect payments from patients, enter transactions in our electronic medical records system, and provide receipts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and visitors, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with printing requisitions and other forms as needed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Zufall Health's standards for appearance and professionalism.
- High school diploma required; college credit or additional education in a medical field or insurance and billing courses preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, with 1 year of experience in collecting money or billing and insurances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, adapt to changing work flows, and prioritize tasks effectively.
