Patient Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for scheduling and registering patients for services, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Registration: Utilize organizational and clerical skills to ensure efficient functioning of the department, assist with daily operations, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, interact with patients in a consistent manner, and maintain a pleasant and helpful demeanor.
- Knowledge and Competency: Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in Patient Access and the Revenue Cycle, participate in ongoing educational activities, and seek constructive feedback.
- Proficiency and Adaptability: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with duties and responsibilities, plan and perform additional functions within the team assignments, and function well within the team.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a customer service setting, and/or clerical experience, or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience minimum of 1 year working in a customer service setting.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, present in a calm, professional manner, and utilize various computer and on-line applications.
- Exemplary internal and external customer relations, strong relationship building skills, and knowledge of medical terminology and insurance authorization.
