Position Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and proficient Senior Accounting Specialist to enhance our financial team. This pivotal role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring precision and effectiveness in our financial operations.

Compensation: $60,000/year - $70,000/year (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis and reconciliation for general ledger accounts.
  • Compile financial data and generate reports for monthly internal financial assessments.
  • Examine account activities reported on the balance sheet.
  • Evaluate Profit and Loss statements against historical trends and anticipated outcomes.
  • Identify necessary monthly adjustment entries from reviews and communicate findings to the Controller.
  • Prepare internal documentation including budgets, cash flow forecasts, and sales summaries.
  • Perform job cost evaluations for completed projects and ongoing work.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions, processes, and reporting.
  • Analyze critical segments of information and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate on initiatives within the organization to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Offer insightful perspectives on current and upcoming projects.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of processes to ensure reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational special projects as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting and auditing principles.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Capability to adapt to a changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Robust organizational and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with Power BI for financial and accounting analysis.
COVID-19 Requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more.
