POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Accounting Specialist role is essential for maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise. This experienced position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct daily reconciliations of warranty accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly freight invoices and travel expense entries, along with calculating monthly and quarterly accruals.
- Collaborate with field teams on claims processed with carriers and execute monthly accruals.
- Perform weekly audits of disbursements.
- Carry out monthly account reconciliations.
- Play a significant role in the month-end closing process.
- Assist with both Internal and External Audit requirements.
- Identify and manage initiatives aimed at enhancing processes.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits
Watsco offers a competitive salary range of $70K-$75K, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the responsibilities outlined above.
- Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
