Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Accountant role is pivotal in maintaining a professional and proficient approach within the finance department. This position represents an advanced level of expertise and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reconcile intercompany balances across various entities, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and prepare intercompany confirmations for distribution to other business units.
  • Update and maintain new finance lease schedules and lease accounting disclosures, ensuring monthly reconciliations and reporting are accurate.
  • Prepare monthly shipping cutoff confirmations and execute necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee the calculation and analysis of the Sales Return Reserve.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Play a significant role in the month-end closing process.
  • Identify and lead projects aimed at enhancing process efficiencies and increasing automation.
  • Assist with both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of relevant experience; CPA preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the responsibilities outlined above.
  • Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, particularly in Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, coupled with a solid work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Capacity to work independently while effectively coordinating with corporate and operational team members.
  • Aptitude for thriving under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Skill in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Salary range: $80K - $95K.
