Sustainability Client Consultant

Reporting to: VP of Client Success and Partnerships

Location: New York City, NY (hybrid)

Job Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and knowledgeable Sustainability Client Consultant with a focus on ESG to enhance our team. In this position, you will serve as a primary resource for our clients, guiding them through their ESG initiatives from the initial stages to the fulfillment of their sustainability goals. You will engage directly with the clients' executive leadership and heads of ESG/sustainability. Close collaboration with key internal partners, including our Implementation Manager and Customer Success Manager, will be essential to provide clients with the assurance and assistance necessary for success in their ESG endeavors. Your expertise in managing diverse stakeholders and your project management skills will be vital for the effective execution and integration of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Serve as a knowledgeable intermediary between clients and internal teams, including client success, implementation, and training, effectively managing expectations and communications across various stakeholders.

- **Project Oversight:** Manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring that projects are executed on schedule and within defined parameters.

- **Collaborative Efforts:** Partner closely with the Implementation Manager and Client Success Manager to synchronize efforts, share insights, and align strategies to address client requirements, including conducting stakeholder workshops.

- **Client Assistance:** Offer continuous support and training to clients in conjunction with the Implementation and Training and Client Success teams, aiding them in navigating their ESG journey relative to our offerings and maximizing its benefits.

- **Feedback Mechanism:** Collect and communicate client feedback to internal teams for ongoing product enhancement and innovation.

- **Relationship Development:** Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, understanding their distinct needs and challenges to deliver customized solutions.

- **Performance Tracking:** Alongside leadership and the customer success manager, monitor and report on client progress and success metrics, identifying opportunities for further engagement and growth.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in advisory or consulting roles within the sustainability professional services sectors, ideally with Big 4 (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC) experience. SaaS experience and/or understanding is a significant advantage.

- Strong project management capabilities with a proven record of successfully managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients.

- A problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to addressing client needs and challenges.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Must be located within a reasonable commuting distance of Datamaran's NYC Hub and willing to work on a hybrid basis, typically at least 2 to 3 days in the office.
