Treasury Financial Analyst

This role is integral to our Treasury Operations team, focusing on the Middle Office functions including daily reviews, confirmations, research, and settlements concerning brokered certificates of deposit (BCD), domestic debt instruments (such as agency securities, treasury bonds, municipal bonds), and derivatives (including swaps and swap clearing), along with Wholesale Deposits. Administrative responsibilities encompass the creation and updating of procedures and managing group communications.

The selected candidate will assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between cash flows generated by the internal system and those from external sources, as well as addressing various issues that may arise. Participation in projects as required is also expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and confirm daily settlements of debt and derivatives using Wall Street Suite (WSS) and T3 (the in-house treasury system).
  • Ensure daily confirmations of BCD are conducted with external vendors and processed through WSS and T3.
  • Confirm daily Wholesale Deposits settlements in WSS and update banking portals accordingly.
  • Develop processes for overnight Repo transactions by reviewing agreements and enhancing functionality in WSS or other applications.
  • Create reporting capabilities to monitor growth, pinpoint areas for improvement, and learn from historical data.
  • Engage with counterparties to resolve issues, ensuring effective follow-up and negotiation to reach confirmations.
  • Conduct research to address issues, document processes, and propose viable solutions.
  • Compile and maintain desk procedures and documentation as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required, including proficiency in pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and formulas (excluding macros).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury operations.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems.
  • Experience with Brokered Certificates of Deposit (BCD), debt, and derivatives.
  • Ability to validate interest payments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of treasury products (such as Agencies, UST, etc.) and derivatives.
  • Experience in Treasury Operations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Wall Street Suite and other treasury platforms is a plus.
  • Bloomberg experience is beneficial.
  • Understanding of corporate governance and compliance guidelines (including SOX, internal/external audits, FDIC regulations).
  • Knowledge of secured credit facilities (such as FHLB, Discount Window).
