Job Overview

The Financial Treasury Analyst will collaborate with our Treasury Operations team, focusing on Middle Office responsibilities such as daily assessments, confirmations, investigations, and settlements related to brokered certificates of deposit (BCD), domestic debt instruments (including agency securities, treasury bonds, municipal bonds, etc.), and derivatives (swaps and swap clearing), along with Wholesale Deposits. Administrative duties encompass creating and updating operational procedures, managing group communications, identifying and rectifying discrepancies between system-generated cash flows and those from external sources, and engaging in various projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Authenticate and confirm daily settlements of debt instruments and derivatives utilizing Wall Street Suite (WSS) and T3 (in-house treasury management system).
  • Ensure daily confirmations of BCD are conducted with external vendors and accurately processed in WSS and T3.
  • Validate and confirm daily Wholesale deposit settlements in WSS and maintain bank portal updates.
  • Establish a systematic process for overnight Repo transactions by reviewing agreements and enhancing functionality in WSS or alternative applications.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms to track growth, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and learn from historical data.
  • Engage with counterparties to address issues, execute follow-ups, negotiate, confirm, or find resolutions as necessary.
  • Conduct research to troubleshoot issues, document processes, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Compile, maintain, or revise desk procedures and documentation as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and formulas.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and dependable.
  • Ability to translate agreements into operational practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, due diligence, and research capabilities.
  • Experience in daily treasury operations, confirmations, and settlements.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and make sound decisions to guide the team positively.
  • Willingness to engage in tasks ranging from basic data entry to complex analytical work.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for multitasking and maintaining focus under pressure.
  • Desire to learn and a proactive attitude are highly valued.
  • Team-oriented with a positive demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with treasury products and derivatives.
  • Experience in Treasury Operations is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of BCD.
  • Experience with Wall Street Suite and other treasury platforms is beneficial.
  • Bloomberg knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of secured credit facilities.
