Treasury Financial Analyst

This role is integral to our Treasury Operations division, focusing on the Middle Office functions that include daily reviews, confirmations, research, and settlements concerning brokered certificates of deposit (BCD), domestic debt instruments (such as agency securities, treasury bonds, municipal bonds), and derivatives (including swaps and swap clearing) along with Wholesale Deposits. Administrative responsibilities encompass the creation and updating of procedures, as well as managing group communications.

The successful candidate will assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between cash flows generated by our system and those from external sources, alongside addressing various issues as they arise. Participation in projects will also be required.

In this capacity, you will support daily TFSB operations and enhance reporting capabilities across Debt and Derivatives, BCD, Repos, and Investments.

Position: Contract with Right to Hire
Schedule: Hybrid role (Onsite presence required once a week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and confirm daily settlements of debt and derivatives using Wall Street Suite (WSS) and T3 (in-house treasury system).
  • Ensure daily confirmations of BCD with external vendors are conducted and processed in WSS and T3.
  • Validate and confirm daily Wholesale Deposits settlements in WSS and update bank portals accordingly.
  • Develop processes for overnight Repo transactions by reviewing agreements and enhancing functionality in WSS or alternative applications.
  • Design reporting capabilities to monitor growth, identify improvement areas, and learn from historical data.
  • Engage with counterparties to resolve issues, ensuring effective follow-up and negotiation as necessary.
  • Conduct research to resolve discrepancies, document processes, and propose solutions.
  • Compile, maintain, or update desk procedures and documentation as required.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and formulas (no macros).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems.
  • Experience with Brokered Certificates of Deposit (BCD).
  • Knowledge of Debt and Derivatives.
  • Ability to validate interest payments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of treasury products (Agencies, UST, etc.) and derivatives.
  • Experience in Treasury Operations is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of BCD.
  • Experience with Wall Street Suite or other treasury platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg is beneficial.
  • Understanding of corporate governance and compliance guidelines (SOX, internal/external audit, FDIC regulations, etc.).
  • Knowledge of secured credit facilities (FHLB, Discount Window, etc.).
