Treasury Financial Analyst

This role is integral to our Treasury Operations team, focusing on the Middle Office functions including daily assessments, confirmations, research, and settlements related to brokered certificates of deposit (BCD), domestic debt instruments (such as agency securities, treasury bonds, municipal bonds), and derivatives (including swaps and swap clearing) alongside Wholesale Deposits. Administrative responsibilities encompass the creation and updating of procedures as well as managing group communications.

The successful candidate will assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between cash flows generated by our system and those from external sources, along with addressing various issues as they arise. Participation in projects will also be expected.

In this capacity, you will support daily TFSB operations and enhance reporting capabilities across Debt and Derivatives, BCD, Repos, and Investments.

Location: Remote with occasional onsite requirements
Position: Contract with potential for permanent placement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate and confirm daily settlements of debt and derivatives using Wall Street Suite (WSS) and T3 (in-house treasury system).
  • Ensure that daily BCD confirmations are executed with external vendors and accurately processed in WSS and T3.
  • Confirm daily Wholesale Deposits settlements in WSS and manage updates in bank portals.
  • Develop processes for overnight Repo transactions by reviewing agreements and enhancing functionality in WSS or alternative applications.
  • Create reporting tools to monitor growth, pinpoint areas for improvement, and derive insights from past activities.
  • Engage with counterparties to resolve issues, ensuring effective follow-up and negotiation.
  • Conduct research to troubleshoot problems, document processes, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Maintain and update desk procedures and documentation as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, and formulas (macros not required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury operations.
  • Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems.
  • Experience with Brokered Certificates of Deposit (BCD).
  • Knowledge of Debt and Derivatives.
  • Ability to validate interest payments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of treasury products (Agencies, UST, etc.) and derivatives.
  • Experience in Treasury Operations is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of BCD.
  • Familiarity with Wall Street Suite or other treasury platforms is a plus.
  • Bloomberg experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance guidelines (SOX, internal/external audit, FDIC regulations, etc.).
  • Understanding of secured credit facilities (FHLB, Discount Window, etc.).
