Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the administration of the Enterprise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing systems, along with various revenue-related subsystems and the online invoicing/payment platform. Your primary focus will be to maintain the financial accuracy of information recorded in the General Ledger (GL) and other accounting systems.

  • Provide first-line troubleshooting support for team members and external users interacting with the revenue subsystems, Enterprise AR, and Billing systems.
  • Relay essential background information to management and the Information Communication & Technology (ICT) team for the resolution of ongoing system issues.
  • Gather and present data from various systems to comply with regulatory requirements for internal and external audits, as well as other governmental mandates.
  • Act as a functional and operational expert, liaising with users of the revenue subsystems and enterprise accounting systems to ensure effective functionality and solutions. You will also contribute to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, and Business Cases related to financial system implementations.
  • Oversee quality assurance by developing and executing test strategies and scenarios, documenting results to ensure smooth deployment of system functionalities or upgrades.
  • Create reports or reconciliations using diverse data sources to guarantee accurate accounting of revenue transactions in line with applicable standards and principles.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and guidance for various departments regarding system usage.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of four years in accounting operations and systems, including functional administration of billing and accounts receivable systems.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, management information systems, or business administration is preferred.
  • Equity Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to equity by embodying shared values and practices in all work aspects.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting standards, as well as internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging in productive dialogues to resolve issues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in complex accounting systems and Microsoft Suite, with experience in database queries and financial software.

Additional Information:

  • Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with some flexibility available.
  • Work Environment: This position may involve a hybrid or in-office setting based on management's discretion.
  • Residency Requirement: Employees must establish and maintain residency in the state as part of employment requirements.
