We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Analyst to join our team at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise on accounting software technology, recommending, designing, and implementing solutions to meet business needs.
- Configuration and Maintenance: Design and implement configuration changes, perform routine system maintenance, and develop new maintenance approaches to ensure high system functionality.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve production support issues, design and implement enhancements, and work with vendors to resolve software bugs or identify solutions for data or configuration issues.
- Integration and Data Management: Resolve integration issues, including design and implementation of fixes to existing integrations, and monitor and fix data for accuracy and integrity.
- Reporting and Analytics: Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports and queries, both standard and custom, using MS SQL and SSRS.
- Collaboration and Communication: Lead discussions and collaborate with analytics teams on downstream impacts of data modeling or business process changes, and lead discussions with IT teams to meet system needs.
- Professional Development: Participate in vendor and industry user groups to learn best practices and share information, and plan for and lead upgrades.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent relevant experience; advanced education in computer science a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years' experience configuring third-party applications, working with software vendors, resolving production support issues, designing technical solutions, and providing overall technical support for complex financial software.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate MS SQL, T-SQL, ETL knowledge, and prior experience working with large third-party databases; SSRS experience preferred.
- Development Skills: 1+ years' experience in.Net development, including the ability to read, understand, and make changes to complex scripts, and create basic scripts.
- Business Acumen: 1+ years' experience working full-time in a business unit outside of IT, interacting with business-side, non-technical staff.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients, attorneys, staff members, and other business contacts; ability to communicate and handle stressful situations in a professional, calm, courteous manner.
